In the midst of celebrating the Warriors win yesterday, we got a stunning sample of this UTTERLY CLASSIC, 94-POINT (and 93 from Wine Spectator!) rockstar Napa Cabernet, tasted it, drank the rest of the bottle, and made a FANTASTIC DEAL.

FUN FACT for those who are old enough to remember - Groth was started by the guy who invented Atari game consoles. It's also best remembered for the FIRST 100-point score for a CA wine back in 1985. It’s an understatement to say Groth is CRUSHING IT the last few years, and the 2014 is as lush, structured, powerful and classy as you remember (IF you were lucky enough to grab the 2012 when we offered it), if not more so --- it grabs you, forces you to pay attention…and then plants a big wet, masculine kiss on you. So good --- packed with deep black fruits, tobacco, sweet cigar box, incense, rich and mouthfilling with a creamy mocha-like note along with the lip-smacking French oak. Terrifically balanced, classy and well, outrageously classic Napa Cab!! What else….nothing!! Just HURRY!

About The Producer

“The moment that everything changed, we drove from Sonoma to Napa via the Oakville grade.  When we reached the top, we stopped and looked down on spectacular sea of vineyards.  Curiously, the vineyard we bought is one that we saw that moment, and every time we drive over the grade we think of that day.  It was a life changing investment for Judy and me,” Dennis Groth recalls.  The year was 1981.  The 121 acre purchase was the Oakcross Vineyard in the heart of Oakville.
 
As a family, we are dedicated to producing the best wine that a vintage will allow.  All of our resources, our property and the skills of our employees, are dedicated to this objective.  We believe that if we make great wine, success will follow.  Groth began as, and continues to be 100% family owned, operated, and managed by the Groth family: Dennis, Judy and their children, Elizabeth, Suzanne and D. Andrew.
