As with most “Lucky Break” wines, we have WAY LESS than normal. But oh MAN, do you want this. A stellar Napa vintage, this 2016 is a BLOCKBUSTER, sexy, plush Merlot, Cabernet, and Petite Sirah blend that is somehow even better than last year. It truly drinks like something that could EASILY cost $100+, and in fact the regular Hourglass wines do run between $125-$225!! HGIII is a “drink now” wine but it is BIG stuff -- trust us, no one is going to think it is anything but SULTRY.

Winemaker Tony Biagi (who has made countless amazing wines at Plumpjack, Cade, Sinegal, etc over the years…) is the genius behind this roller-coaster funhouse of a wine --- ahhhh! We’re not going to say anymore...if you had this from us in the past, you know what to do! Good luck!

Hourglass is two vineyards, a winery and a compilation of estate wines:

a vision unfolding.

About The Producer

Hourglass Wine released their first vintage in 1997 and until recently, their entire production was from a single 4 acre vineyard just north of St. Helena. The Smith Family have lived in the Napa Valley since the mid 1960’s and today Hourglass is owned by Jeff Smith and his wife Carolyn. Jeff’s father was a real estate developer and had the foresight to recognize that people would be captivated not only by the scenic beauty of the Napa Valley but also by the wines produced from this region.
