Caves Messias Miguels Colheita Port 1977 (375mL) - Last Bottle

Caves Messias Miguels Colheita Port 1977 (375mL)

WOW!! 1977! The Apple II was released, Elvis died, Star Wars came out and the Dow Jones closed the year at 831. AND this spectacular find from deep in the cellars of Caves de Messias was made and discovered by US in January of 2019...yes, this spectacular, mind-blowing Colheita Port is 42 years old...and (Google it), 1977 is one of the all-time CLASSIC, world-class vintages for Port!! Wow!!

Wow for so many reasons...this is just OUTRAGEOUSLY priced for a wine like this, with this pedigree. We seriously thought we were hallucinating when this deal came through. BUT THE WINE! Oh, people, we DESPERATELY want you here right now, in this office, to drink this with us this...uh...morning. This might be EPIPHANY-level juice...the aromatics alone are mesmerizing…! We said wow, right?

*** Oh, hey, this is TERRIBLY limited. If you need a truly astounding special dessert wine, do all in your power to grab this.

OK-- can we say BEWITCHING? Brain-cell scrambling? Euphoria-inducing? The nose fairly SOARS with roasted nuts, caramel, baked sugar and molasses. This is a TAWNY Port, with all grapes from 1977, and it comes off a bit less sweet than typical vintage Port ---but all that long, long, aging in neutral oak barrels (this wine was only bottled in 2018!!) makes it wildly complex and nutty, with insane levels of flavors that will truly knock you out. Dried fruits, nut meats, woodsmoke, toasted vanilla bean, bright and zippy but with a finish that goes on for days. WICKED! Crazy price! Will go in a flash...please JUMP on it!

Light amber color. e aroma is complex, with notes of nutmeg, honey and a citric hint. The palate is elegant and velvety, this wine grows in the mouth.
