Belle Fiore Red Numinos Reserve Rogue Valley 2014 - Last Bottle

Belle Fiore Red Numinos Reserve Rogue Valley 2014

“Really?”

“You’re sure?”

“That’s not the 6-pack price?”

“In that case, we’ll take as much as you can sell us.”

When a luscious, lip-smacker like this shows up on our overcrowded tasting bar, blowing away wines 3 times the price, we spring like lambs into action (or perhaps we look more like fainting goats, who knows). Holy moly!!! $11!!!

Hailing from vineyards near Ashland, OR, the Numinos is a classic Bordeaux blend that, at our price, is a pretty ridiculous screaming buy we all liked quite well, despite being new to us. There’s nothing we like more than a new discovery, though (at $11 are you crazy??), so we’ll be quaffing this down regularly with its bright blackberry pie fruit, plum jam, cigar box and homemade pie crust notes --- aged in 70% French and 30% American oak and simply terrific, crowd-pleasing personality. Not a wine to get all cerebral about, no, a wine to drink with unbridled abandon. WAY over 50% OFF retail!! While it lasts…!

We didn't think it was possible to find a Bordeaux blend that tasted this good for $11, but here we are...

About The Producer

The Kerwins always dreamed of developing a vineyard and winery. In 2000, they located a 55 acre property outside of Ashland for sale by Miller Ranch. They purchased the land and began to implement the development of Belle Fiore Winery, Estate and Vineyards. The Kerwins planted the vineyards in 2007, cultivating extraordinary wine grapes from many wine growing regions across Mediterranean Europe.

From France’s Bordeaux region, we grow varietals including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Merlot. From the Rhone, we grow Syrah grapes. From Burgundy, our Pinot Noir grapes are celebrated and esteemed. Belle Fiore also grows Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Musque, two additional classic French white wine grapes. The winery fashions exemplary wines using each of these classic French grape varietals.
