Domaine de Montredon Picpoul-de-Pinet 2018 - Last Bottle

Domaine de Montredon Picpoul-de-Pinet 2018

PICPOUL! More fun to drink than say (peek-pool), but not by much!! At this price, that is absolutely unquestionable!! Picpoul is back and today at a lip-quivering, salivary-gland-activating, no-brainer price for $12!! Twelve! Simply gobsmacking. This is THRILLING, zippity-do-dah, hyper-fresh goodness...do you love crisp, yummy Sauv Blanc? Albarino? Chablis? Then you will LOVE this wine, not to mention that you get to say the nothing-but-delightful word "Picpoul" over and over, which will make you instantly happier and your skin will glow with peace and health.

Picpoul is a white grape grown in the Languedoc and Rhone regions, and notably in Catalonia as well, where it is consumed likely in larger proportions than water, which of course is an excellent idea. It produces an ultra-fresh, crisp, oyster-shell and lemon wine with fantastic acidity and youthful exuberance. Domaine de Montredon’s 2018 (an excellent vintage), from a fifth-generation winemaking family, is ALL THAT, with vibrant lemony, starfruit flavors, super-restorative and zingy, with that must-have, savory, salinity note. Like a cool drink from a mountain stream, this refreshes your soul!! Peek-pool!!

$12!! What can we say? Will go fast...!

Crisp, clean, mineral and simply perfect with the local oysters. With a delicate nose of exotic fruit and white flowers lifted with remarkably fresh acidity and just a hint of saltiness on the finish. A classic from this region and immensely popular right now.
