Crank up a little Beastie Boys or maybe Cake, whatever gets your blood running. Cabernet, Syrah, Cab Franc and Merlot from winemaker Tyler Grennan that’s just poppin’ with exuberant fruit and pretty luscious earthy mocha notes --- yes, if you are thinking BBQ that is absolutely what needs to be happening right now. Or tacos...or a Philly cheesesteak - anyway, we’re just gettin’ sweaty over here thinking about it.
Walla Walla in WA is getting a lot of love lately, and Beresan is a small producer that we stumbled upon just a few weeks ago. Both proprietor Tom Glase and winemaker Tyler Grennan put in time at the legendary L’Ecole N. 41 to hone their craft. YUM was the general consensus, but they make so little there was barely any to buy! Alas - move quick if you’re interested.

The wine shows dark ripe cherry, ripe raspberry and pomegranate flavors balanced upon “Rocks District” earth notes and full-bodied tannins. This New World Blend is Beresan’s most iconic wine. It brings together Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from their estate vineyards, highlighting the minerality of the Rocks District of Milton Freewater.
