August Briggs Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2016 - Last Bottle

August Briggs Pinot Noir Russian River Valley 2016

Last day of the month! Woo hoo!! Let’s kick it with a killer Russian River pinot!! Best price EVAH!

‘16 in the Russian River is ripe, joyous, thrilling stuff, and August Briggs just CRUSHED it with this one. MMMMMM is all we can say!! Drinking a glass right now! In fact, the whole office is (I’m writing this on a Friday afternoon, so all bets are off now)!

90 POINTS. “Juicy dark cherry and earthy black tea highlight a full-bodied, richly concentrated varietal wine, that's satisfying and soft. Elements of orange peel and cola round it out with length and baking spice on the finish.”

How can we argue with that? Pretty much spot on although we might throw in “delectable”, “irresistible”, “sensuous”, and possibly even “sassy”. Oh yeah. August Briggs is a well-known, rock-solid producer and we are stoked to have gotten a bit for you. But it will sell out quick! While it lasts…!

All our wines are, first and foremost, an expression of the vineyard. This mantra is at the core of our vineyard sourcing and winemaking philosophy since our foundation. We have developed long-term relationships with family owned vineyards who share our passion in growing grapes and who take a sustainable long-term view to the farming of the land. We create wines that are reflections of their provenance and showcase the imprint of hand on the soil.

About The Producer

Matt and Colette’s ownership of August Briggs is defined by a dedicated hands-on approach. This focuses not just on highlighting an eclectic selection of varietals, but also providing each and every guest to August Briggs a connection to what makes small owner-operated wineries so unique: the combination of stellar winemaking with providing consumers a true insight into the joy that wine can bring to our lives.

Both can be found in the vineyard and at the winery during harvest, ensuring their philosophy shines through the wines. The rest of the year, Matt focuses on marketing and sales, whilst Colette focuses on the business side of the winery functions.
