Mendoza Vineyards Malbec The Pledge 100 Mendoza 2019

Boo-YA! We could not be more STOKED than if Bono and The Edge walked through our front door, and loaded us into their private jet for a private concert at the Sphere in Vegas…right now! Truly. 94 POINTS! UNDER $20!! Massive, inky Argentinian malbec from high elevation, own-rooted vines over 100 YEARS OLD! Four vineyards – planted in 1904, 1905, 1918, and 1919 – that is simply INSANE! We’re just thrilled to be able to snag these at such a righteous price!  

Did we mention 94 points? We did? OK. Better hurry. This beastly rich, loaded, and opulent malbec is a rollercoaster ride of dark berry fruit, ripe red cherries, lavish sweet oak, Tahitian vanilla, more spices than a Moroccan bazaar, incense, bay leaf, violets…WOWZA! Loads of structure for aging (if you want, no need…), and a finish that goes on longer than the burn from my newest batch of homemade ghost pepper hot sauce. DANG! Mocha and even a creamy cafe-au-lait feel in your mouth. Fantastic. Seriously crazy, rich, spicy stuff for a brain-rattling price and this score!

Up to 120-YEAR-OLD VINES! And nothing younger than 102…just bonkers. It is some kind of miracle to snag a decent parcel of this 94-pointer, but as we noted...please act SUPER QUICK!! Dangerously easy to sip. Ok, I got mine! Woohoo!
