This family-run estate sits on that revered short list of Italian producers to snag Wine Spectator's #1 wine, and this wine routinely grabs scores 95 and up. (We said DOUBLE 98 POINTS, right?) Floral and rich, with powerful aromas of violets, wild iris, and lilacs. Deep black cherry flavors give this a solid and immediate POP! with pomegranate molasses, raspberry, and bergamot tea, coming on strong not far behind. Earthy spices of cardamom and cigar box accents provide a grounding depth, and the finish spirals prettily on and on – seemingly forever! This packs on weight and even more complexity with air – just terrifically complex, supremely crafted, and yes, SEXY stuff.  For special occasions, with people you love dearly, for sure!!
