Champagne Philippe Gonet Grande Reserve Brut NV
It’s NYE 2023! We’re ready for 2024, all right! Woohoo! But first… BUBBLES!
GONET is BACK! Over 50% OFF!
The Gonet Family has been making fantastic Champagnes since the 1800s in the majestic Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, next to the likes of Salon and Krug! This is impeccable and stunning Champagne…all for ONLY $32?! Follow your nose into your favorite bakery on a Sunday morning and you'll have a sense of this stunner. That SMELL! The toasty brioche, croissants, bread, and coffee, who on EARTH does not get hungry and warm all over just THINKING of it!?!
Champagne of this quality, at our INCREDIBLE price, has become increasingly rare, and we’ve had to stack our pallets twice as high to fit in as much Champagne as we can – like a bubbly-obsessed squirrel packing acorns into every crack and knot of a gnarly old oak before winter arrives. Welp, winter is here indeed – now, we FEAST! This Grande Reserve relies on a basis of 60% pinot noir, 30% chardonnay, and 10% pinot meunier – mostly stemming from the 2019 vintage, with 30% of the total volume provided by the family’s reserve wine that goes back decades. The complexity is surreal, and a perfectly balanced dosage of just 7 grams per liter makes it POP! Delightfully stony and minerally – this showcases a fresh and vibrant vein that makes the wine seem 5 degrees colder than actually is, with an effervescent flinty-ness that sparkles throughout. Wowee, this is GOOD! Apart from the mineral notes, there are ample fruit flavors of mandarin orange, green apple, and Korean pear, along with rosemary, ginger shortbread cookies, and a finishing sweet and tart sensation of bruleed grapefruit. This is too fun not to share, and share often, so make sure you grab enough! It’s BUBBLY SEASON, people! And...Gonet NEVER disappoints. You saw that price?? While it lasts!
Happy New Year’s Eve, Bubble Monsters! Drink the good stuff, be safe, and we’ll see you in 2024!
A treasured family history and a cellar like a time machine…

About The Producer
Founded in 1830 by entrepreneur Charles Gonetgrandson, Champagne Philippe Gonet rests near the northern edge of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The family’s 20 hectares are dedicated to chardonnay, which they grow from old vines planted in 1929. The fruit is cultivated in chalky soils, sprinkled with coccoliths, plankton, and belemnite fossils. Today, sibling successors Pierre and Chantal Gonet carry the torch of their family’s legacy. The production is as old-world as it gets– fruit is pressed by plot and settled in isolated cuvaries before blending. Once bottled, the wine is hand-riddled and aged on the lees for three years in the estate’s original cellar, which was built in 1783.
