Negretti Barolo Bricco Ambrogio 2012 - Last Bottle

Negretti Barolo Bricco Ambrogio 2012

BAROLO! Glorious, dead-serious Barolo, rippling it's powerful muscles and deep complexity here on a Friday morning (oops, did we say morning? ;-))! Wow! 94 POINTS!

Sorry, but you just don’t see Barolo at this level anywhere NEAR the price we have for you today…!! And this one? This is one for the ages, y’all --- a huge, insanely powerful (yet, medium-weighted) classic expression from brothers Massimo and Ezio, who are carrying on the tradition of their great grandparents way back at the beginning of the last century. This wine will age effortlessly for decades --- get a couple extra to bury in the back of your cellar!!

You’re going to need to SIT DOWN when you drink this, as you will likely get weak-kneed and dizzy as your brain tries desperately to absorb everything going on in your mouth. Wild, brambly blackberry and dried berries, black tea, licorice, clove, dark cocoa powder, tobacco...mouthcoating, grippy and powerful...just a wine to snap your head back. Wow! WHAT. A. PRICE! You can barely even find this wine in the U.S! A HUGE no-brainer if you love great Barolo...amazing…! Have a great weekend!

The Negretti family’s roots have always firmly set in their passion and love for wine. It was this bond with the world of the Langhe that finally led us to set up our own winery in 2002 amidst the gentle hills surrounding the village of La Morra.

About The Producer

As young as this dynamic, enterprising venture may be however, the past has not been forgotten in the traditions handed down from great grandparents, who were wine growers and producers way back at the beginning of the last century. The company philosophy is based on the constant, persistent pursuit of quality. The ongoing commitment of brothers Massimo and Ezio, is to dedicating all their attention in person to both the vineyards – worked in keeping with traditions and the territory – and the product that results from the various steps involved on its way to our glasses. The estate stretches out over around 32 acres of vineyards on prime wine-growing slopes in the villages of La Morra, Roddi and Monforte d’Alba.
