Champagne Remy Massin & Fils Tradition Brut NV
Regarding our fun fact above, we recommend you start this keep-the-adults-happy trend in YOUR neighborhood --- and THIS, 55% OFF (!!), Last Bottle fan-fave, crowd-pleaser-to-no-end, percolatingly delicious bottle is the one to do it with!! REMY MASSIN! 5 generations of family-owned and made Champagne from the Cote de Bar (Wine Folly has an excellent breakdown of this area HERE)! Absolutely amazing to have this at under $30!! Not a lot to go around, either!
We go driving around Champagne in our Citroen rental for 2-3 days every year to find these “grower producer” masterpieces and bring ‘em in at head-spinning prices because we LOVE it. They often equal or surpass the big boys (Dom, Cristal, etc. that are actually HUGE co-ops) in quality and when it comes to price, there is no comparison (example: you can get 6 bottles of this for 1 Dom Perignon). And we know you do, too -- we sell a LOT of bubbly and get a lot of love from you all about it (thanks, by the way, we love you back). This latest release of Massin’s “Tradition” is a Brut, 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, and hits your senses wham wham with sweet perfumey flowers, white peach, apricot and even a little cherry. Creamy, not too toasty, this is definitely all about the pure, clean, uber-fresh fruit. DANGEROUS! Too easy to drink! At this price, who cares??? While it lasts...
Small production, grower champagne, from a terrific producer who's also a member of the elite Special Club?! Yes please!

About The Producer
Champagne Rémy Massin et fils comes as a result of a passion passed on through the generations in Ville-sur-Arce, in the area called Cote des Bar.
Rémy created the brand Champagne Rémy Massin et fils in 1974. He was joined by his children Sylvère, who studied viticulture oenology, and Florence, who took charge of the administrative part of the business, the export and the shipment management.
Now being run by the fifth generation, respectful of the land inherited from their ancestors, in the pursuit of excellence to create a hand-crafted premium Champagne.
Their vineyards accounts for about 22 hectares : 75% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay and 5% Pinot Blanc. The average age of the vines is 30 years old.
The soils are mainly composed of limestone and clay, inserted in Kimmeridgian geological structure like those as in Chablis vineyards.
Champagne Rémy Massin et fils is working for a sustainable viticulture with a conscious investment in the maintenance of ecological relationships so the vineyard is growing in a balanced natural environment.
