Chateau Graves de Rabion Saint-Emilion 2015 - Last Bottle

Chateau Graves de Rabion Saint-Emilion 2015

Bordeaux baby! A 92-POINT, 50% OFF one to boot -- and, no exaggeration, the best one we tasted in a huge lineup of St. Emilions (some with much higher price points) we tasted last week. As we’ve been shouting from the rooftops for months, 2015 is a spectacular, generous, sensationally drinkable vintage in general, and at the price we managed to work out with the Chateau, well….no-brainer is not big enough of a word!!

TEXTURE is big for us -- we want to find you wines that sensually coat the palate, wines with body and mid-palate and warm fruits. Rich and softly textured for sure, with plum jam, bright boysenberry and mulling spices...so GOOD! Just astounding at our price, really...this is a Chateau just recently making waves in the last few years with new winemaker Lauriane Bouladou, who is kicking everything up several notches!! Wait until you TASTE it! Rip the box open when it lands and get BUSY --- you’ll see what we’re talkin’ about!! 2015 St. Emilions are the bomb! While they last that is...

Beautiful deep crimson colour. Aromas of Morello cherry and spices.
The wine is rich and fleshy, round and unctuous.

About The Producer

Chateau Graves de Rabion is located in the Libournais region, nearby the town of Saint-Emilion. The property is located on the banks of the Dordogne and it has been handed down from generation to generation over four consecutive generations. The domain is currently managed by Bernard Bouladou and his daughter Lauriane. All the successive generations share the passion for wine and viticulture. Today, Lauriane has taken over the mantle of her father, who continues to assist her. After her studies in Oenology and Viticulture, she decided to modernize the winery in order to maximize the quality of her wines. She installed the thermo-regulation in the vat-room and used the latest advances in filtration methods. She also decided with her father to re-organize the vineyard, which was divided during the latest inheritances. In particular, they rediscovered the plots known as Les Graves and Rabion which gave its name to the estate. Lauriane, today, is providing a new emergence to Chateau Graves de Rabion.
