Eric Kent Wine Cellars Sauvignon Blanc Cuvee Renee Sonoma County 2017
Titillating SB! We drink it by the gallon around here (hey, no judging!) and when this came across our tasting table (a new label to us) we had high hopes….well...ALL EXPECTATIONS MET! 91 POINTS and a fantastic price. Zippy, lip-smacking (we don’t use this term lightly) and all manner of YUM.
This is on the juicy, lemon/lime, lemongrass-y side of Sauvignon Blanc (no green or grassy flavors) and it is terrifyingly easy to drink and love. One glass into it, and you’re poolside at the Ritz, soaking up the sun. Juicy citrus, candied lemon peel, apples and good, fresh acidity to back up all the round, lip-licking fruit flavors. Delish! What else? Wine Spectator 91 POINTS, best price ever seen by humans anywhere! DRINK UP!

About The Producer
“Eric” is owner Kent Humphrey’s middle name and “Kent” is his first name. Kent was, in his own words, of those “hyper-enthusiastic” wine geeks since college. After diverging from his career path running an advertising agency for ten years, Eric went all in on winemaking.
He had a late start getting involved in the industry and didn't work his first harvest until age 33. Once he got his hands dirty, he couldn't quiet the urge inside to someday create his own wine.
He spent two years working closely with under the direction of other winemakers before scoring a chance to get some top notch fruit.
His first vintage in 2003 produced 375 cases. More than a decade later his production still remains small, topping out around 2,00 cases.
His wife Colleen, an accomplished artist, suggested employing various artists to create label art, each one carefully chosen to represent the spirit of the wine. With every vintage a portion of the sales go toward the artist to help support and grow their passion.
