Man O`War Bellerophon Syrah 2014
TGIM? When you have a melon-twisting price on a 96-POINT (as in, NINETY SIX!), titanically-sized powerhouse red at a planet-crushing price….YES indeed!! Wow! DROP what you’re doing and move move MOVE to snag a few of these...just a recommendation….
Want something delicate? Delete this email, then, ‘cause it is Man O'War time (named by Captain Cook in 1769 upon discovering this rugged island). And actually, while this is a BIG, BIG wine hailing from the pristine eastern end of Waiheke Island in New Zealand, it is deliciously, savorily, decadently balanced and drinkable even now. Did we mention 96 points from Aussie/NZ Master of Wine Bob Campbell? Swanky and exuberant fruit (crushed raspberries and raspberry compote), deep, dark, toasted peppercorns and mocha, caramel and licorice, this wine is perfumey (inhale it!), concentrated, full-bodied for sure, and as we said nicely all in proportion. A SUPER-COOL score for us (and you, at our wicked price…), so our advice, besides moving as fast as you can, is….make love, not war…! But do it with Man O’War! Or something like that!!
While it lasts..!
