Roblar Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Santa Barbara County 2014

Cab Alert! Over 50% OFF alert! Many, many alerts…!!! It’s an alert kind of Thursday!

We may reside and do our biz in the verdant Cabernet country of Napa Valley, but we keep a very close eye on our neighbors down south, too, and a quick trip to Santa Barbara County (which may or may not have included martinis, chasing goats, being chased by goats, and more than a few microbreweries…) yielded this POUND-THE-TABLE, lush, generous, killer Cabernet at a jaw-snapping deal of a price. A HUGE no-brainer for cab lovers...just DO. IT. QUICK! This is also a sellout alert!!

First off --- if you are ever in the area, go VISIT Roblar. What a spot! Second --- did you put some of this in your cart yet? Here’s why --- for a paltry $22, this baby packs in tiers of black-curranty, spunky red fruit character, a dash of toasty oak, and an ambrosial hint of some really pricey dark chocolate you buy at the high-end market for like $12. Long and lush and super-easy to just LOVE, this is a wicked steal at our price. But we WILL sell out -- Cabernet always does and we NEVER get enough! While it lasts…!

These grapes are from three special blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon from
Happy Canyon and Camp 4 vineyards at the warm eastern end of the Santa
Ynez Valley. Characteristics of black currant, plum and cherry.
Well-structured tannins with rich texture and long fruit finish.

About The Producer

Nestled in an oak tree-studded 40-acre vineyard located in the heart of Santa Barbara County, Roblar Winery and Vineyards reflects the spirit of Santa Ynez Valley- rustic, authentic, and bold. Our philosophy is to foster a unique visitor experience of bringing together great wine, great food, and great friends. We encourage guests to explore the estate—from our stunning 5,000 sq. ft. tasting room complete with an indoor-outdoor stone fireplace, to the trellis-covered patio, looking out over our expansive gardens.

We are ideally located geographically. Fog tempers the summer heat, allowing for a longer ripening season, resulting in a gradual and thorough development of the flavors of the wines. Our well-drained gravelly soil is exceptionally well suited for wine grapes, allowing the vines to produce grapes with concentrated flavors.

Due to our propitious location, with excellent soils and a very accommodating climate for most varietals, we utilize the estate to produce some of the best varietals, specifically Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Sangiovese, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.
