Crafted by a Belgian, who sold his Chateau in St. Emilion to make Rioja from this special spot. STUNNING, epiphany-level Tempranillo. COMPELLING, potent and unforgettably delicious. A drastically unexpected treat for us, especially at the price. Where to start in describing this?? JOY? Wonderment?
First off, it is NOT for the shy, demure wine lover. No, no. It’s big and lush and packed with unique flavors and SUPER-POLISHED, like supple leather. Pure, lip-smacking berry pie, macerated cherries, clove, toasted black pepper, toast, Kahlua...and it is so remarkably balanced, pure and fine it boggles the mind a bit, frankly. Color us amazingly impressed. Anyway, this price is absurd and we can’t recommend it more highly! While it lasts…! Did we mention 96 points??

About The Producer
Viñas Leizaola invested in El Sacramento in March 2011. Leizaola hails
from the northern part of the Basque Country in the province of Gipuzkoa
and is the owner’s – Etienne Cordonnier – mother’s maiden name.
Etienne’s ambition is two-fold: to revisit his family roots and to offer
a wine that lives up to the family’s history of brokering fine wines
into the sophisticated Belgian market for three generations on his
father’s side.
