The Lawer family actually hails from Alaska (where your humble scribe lived for years in the 90s) and they own some terrific property in Knights Valley, not far from Peter Michael and a few of the big-gun names.

About The Producer

More than a decade ago, David and Betsy Lawer fell in love with and purchased one of the most unique vineyards in Calistoga. Betsy and David run Lawer Estates together with their extended family and their experienced team of vineyard managers, viticulturists and winemakers. 

As a tribute to their love of business, whether it’s banking or winemaking, the Lawers designed their label to harken back to the era of fine, inscribed bonds or stock certificates--artfully merging their banking and winemaking worlds. The landscape etching on the Lawer Estates label is one of their favorite vineyard views.
