Solena Pinot Noir Domaine Danielle Laurent 2018 - Last Bottle

Solena Pinot Noir Domaine Danielle Laurent 2018

Pine Ridge of Napa! Archery Summit of Willamette! All tied into this OVER 50% OFF, Wine Spectator 91 POINT bottle of warm, resoundingly savory, spicy, lip-smackingly good pinot from Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu at our lovely, lovely, happy-making price! Wait until you taste it…

From an estate vineyard owned by the daughter of the legendary Gary Andrus, we just all flipped big time for this -- seriously, how can our staff make a bottle of pinot disappear so quick? Whatever, we take it as a good sign, for sure, and bought every bottle we could. Red fruits, bright, zippy, pure and a sweet/savory note that makes it nearly (??) impossible to stop drinking, this is a crazy-good buy and will drastically overdeliver for the next year or 5...rhubarb, pomegranate, toasted Asian spices...mmmmm YES! We can’t say more -- not enough! While it lasts!

                                    celebrate friends, family, and life!

Holding a very intense red color, this wine’s first impression of vanilla and mocha is followed by the flavor of rich strawberry jam. The earthy undertone, typical to Domaine Danielle Laurent, with mushrooms and forest floor are present and mix elegantly with the fruit. Expressive, with a big, opulent mouth feel, that is both long and rich, this wine captures the essence of brilliance and vivacity.

About The Producer

In May of 2000, Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu purchased an 80+ acre estate as their wedding gift to each other and registered with premium nurseries for six different clones of Pinot Noir vines as wedding gifts. They named the wedding vineyard, Domaine Danielle Laurent, whose fruit still produces some of our favorite wines to date. While waiting for their own vines to mature, the Montalieus purchased fruit from various vineyards, and named their new label after their daughter, Soléna.
