Cave de Beblenheim Cremant d'Alsace Black Rose Brut NV

Beautiful Bargain Bubbly Blowout Friday, yeeeeeeah! Man, who needs a glass...like, EVERYONE on Earth?! 95 POINTS (Wha??! oh yes), a fantastic Cremant d’Alsace that will sell out in a flash of effervescent pop (as it should, at our magic price)! Bone dry, creamy, crisp - get poppin’!!

There are not a lot of bubblies that give rose Champagne a run, but at this price, this one will CRUSH a lot of competitors at triple the price or more (I mean, we wouldn't even think to buy it if not). Completely new to us when it landed in the sample room, this cuvee of pinot and chardonnay from a grower co-op formed in 1952 called Cave de Beblenheim just….well….shocked us. It’s creamy! It’s mouthcoating, titillating bubbly, and it’s got pretty impressive layers of crisp peaches, sweet citrus and almonds, crunchy freshness; it’s balanced, it’s rich, it's... man, we just want to get on a plane and go to Beblenheim right now and check out the 15th century gothic architecture and drink a few bottles with some Alsatian Tarte Flambée!! Want a tour complete with some good beer hall music? Here you go!

Sorry – it’s that good. 95 POINTS! Nutty! For this price? Again, we did definitely put this one into the “back up the truck” category, it’s hard to find drink-all-the-time Cremant with a score like this anywhere near $19!!

A pretty soft pink, a very nice mousse and very fine bubbles. This crémant presents intense aromas of raspberry and cherry with incomparable finesse. Very good length in the mouth.

"Among the Crémants de France, the Crus Alsaciens have reached the first places in just a few years. In White, it is obtained from Pinot Blanc and Pinot Auxerrois grape varieties which present a lot of freshness and finesse. In Blanc de Noirs and Rosé, they express the richness of Pinots Noirs. Our Crémant Chardonnay, for its part, combines finesse and… .. aromatic expression."
