The Vice Cabernet Sauvignon The Bootleggers Mt. Veeder Napa Valley 2019 - Last Bottle

The Vice Cabernet Sauvignon The Bootleggers Mt. Veeder Napa Valley 2019

Y’all gobble-gobbled up that Spring Mountain cab wicked fast, so we're headed back to MOUNT VEEDER!!! Who's ready for a Bootlegger cab? Napa’s nigh-on-PERFECT 2019 vintage to boot!! Let’s GO!

But wait, like the cheap Ginsu knives you’ll probably have to use to carve up the bird later on at grandma’s...THERE’S MORE! Over $45 off the retail for starters! That’s over 50% off folks, from a single vineyard, up at the tippy-top peak of Mt. Veeder, a staggering 2,400 feet up, this is one of the highest vineyards in all of Napa and one that spent its early days as a bootlegging stronghold during Prohibition. This scrum-diddily-umptous wine (yes, I occasionally invoke the spirit of Ned Flanders) is pretty, perfumed, and floral even, with red roses, violets, and hibiscus on the nose...teasing you to take a sip. Then, BAM! Like the poor fools who try to deep fry a frozen turkey, this baby explodes with deep and unctuous black raspberries, chocolate dipped blueberries, mixed berry preserves, kirsch, black pepper, and a structured, powerful finish of graphite, and crumbled granite. Oh, man, this is A LOT of wine, especially at this price! Not much to be had...but for those of you who act fast and snag this up...well, let’s say that store-bought pumpkin pie won’t be your only treat this holiday! While it lasts!

We had the pleasure of harvesting from a USDA-certified organic vineyard at the peak of Mt. Veeder, where some of the world’s rarest and best Cabernet Sauvignon is made. During prohibition, this vineyard, hidden at the end of a country road and difficult to reach, was a haven for bootleggers. It’s still hard to reach—and even harder to work—but the beautiful mountain fruit it yields makes this vineyard well worth the trouble. Of the mountain Cabs we made from the dreamy 2019 vintage, “The Bootleggers” spent the most time in French oak—30 months, to be exact—but only a third of the barrels were new. The result? Smooth tannins, a velvety finish, and tons of aging potential.

About The Producer

The Vice Wine is a Napa Valley luxury wine brand made in small batches. Each batch is crafted from single grape varietals sourced from hand selected vineyards that best express the grape varietal and the region that it comes from. The Vice Wine is a result of passionate labor, sustainable farming, a long expertise of the wine industry and a current understanding of the consumer’s wine trend.

The Vice Wine is about as personal of a brand as it gets. Everything is done by the founders. We drive the truck to get our fruit, we crush, bottle, label; we do everything by hand when possible. We design the labels, work the market, and sell the wine.

We believe that the best wines in the world aren’t the most expensive ones. We thrive at providing the best quality wine at the best value.
