99 POINTS (also 98 from The Wine Independent and an uber-rare 19/20 from Jancis Robinson)! This is some seriously mind-expanding-ly epic LIQUID GOLD from one of the greatest Sauternes houses in Bordeaux. There’s d'Yquem, and then about 5 or 6 houses fighting throughout history to be #2. Château Suduiraut has been in the running for over a century and WAY, WAY LESS pricey than even an off vintage of d'Yquem. The quality for value is OFF THE CHARTS! Imagine a sweet, piercingly bright and spicy ambrosia running through your body like an unchecked electric current, firing synapses and titillating nerve endings from your littlest toe all the way to the very tips of your hair. One sip and you’re GLOWING...lit up like the Griswolds come Christmas time...that’s what it feels like.

The blend is a classic 94% semillon with 6% sauvignon blanc, loaded with honeyed notes, peach, nectarine, and golden apricot fruits, waves of spice, and a lively, refreshing minerality. The bright acidity comes through to keep it all super bright and never cloying, and the finish holds and holds like our trusty “Hodor” office door stop. Around since the 1500s, the estate has recently undergone a full transformation and improvement of the grounds, winemaking facilities, and vineyards – all to produce some of the best wines in its centuries-long history.
