Napa Cut Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2019
BACK, by popular demand…DAVID HASSELHOF!!
Hey, we’ll watch Knight Rider anytime, but NAPA CUT is what we really mean…we had too many dozens of re-requests, we went back to winemaker Stephanie Putnam (Raymond) and made super-cute dog-begging noises for a few days, and WHOOP, there it is! Those of you who wrote and called… Today it is, and the last of the last!
Ok, ok, ok, so WE KNOW. Hey, even if a Napa cab producer making primo juice from Howell Mountain and a vineyard in St. Helena might make an odd name/label and beef-inspired name choice, at the end of the day, it’s what’s IN the bottle, AND…..what about our PRICE?!?! My goodness, pour this Stephanie Putnam-made (Raymond) blockbuster and watch the eyes pop - no one will know you paid over 70% OFF!!!
Ok, so back to the cocoa-covered-roasted coffee-bean-with-a-sprinkle-of-allspice flavors, purposefully built for ultra-plushness, and everything you love about the pedal to the metal, opulent style - long and juicy and spicy. The price…well…Mitch Buchannon would definitely approve. How’d we do this?
Lastly, good cabernet drinkers of Earth— hurry!! We bought every single last available bottle (hey, it's in the name), but with lavishly endowed juice like this, it never lasts long to put it mildly….
A beautiful dark ruby red color, this wine opens with a bouquet of blackberry, blueberry and black cherry aromas that spring from the glass. This is a structured Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with enticing flavors of baked plum and strawberry laced with a touch of cardamom and cassis. The smooth mouthfeel is layered with notes of espresso and baking spice with a nice balanced acidity. The finish is long and satisfying.
