Moon Mountain spreads at elevation across the Mayacamas Range, from legendary Monte Rosso to the north down to historic Hanzell just outside of downtown Sonoma. Ty Caton has some pristine land – the sort of plot John Dutton would wax poetically about and fight to the death for (yep…binging Yellowstone hard at the moment…SOOO GOOD!). Right… the wine…LOVED IT! One sip was all it took, the crushed berries, vanilla, black cherries, plums, cocoa nibs, spiced blackberry tarts fresh out the oven… like stumbling into a Dutch patisserie at first light after wandering through Amsterdam all night long (true story). Is this HEAVEN? One more sip and I’ll tell you. **Dramatic pause…**
Nope…just another day at Last Bottle headquarters (which, not gonna lie, is pretty close to a far more vinous version of eternal paradise – Bacchanalian at the very least). But still! We’re talking TWENTY TWO DOLLARS! For a wine that drinks like this… that is just a screaming, no-brainer deal! This won’t be around long!
The 2018 Estate Cabernet greets the palate with rich and robust flavors of black cherries, plums, and cassis, followed by oak notes of sandalwood and vanilla. These dark flavors produce a dense textured mouth feel that combine with soft sturdy tannins, followed by a long silky smooth finish.

About The Producer
Ty Caton returned to his hometown of Sonoma in 1997 determined to turn his family's 108-acre ranch, located in the prestigious Moon Mountain District AVA, into a prime vineyard. Today, 40 of the 108 acres are planted to wine grapes, and they produce about 10,000 cases of critically acclaimed wine per year. These special wines truly express the quality of the fruit grown on their land high in the Mayacamas Mountains.
