Rocca Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Grigsby Vineyard Yountville Napa Valley 2016

Single vineyard. Napa cabernet sauvignon. 2016 vintage! Oh, man…I can’t be the only one salivating here. I’m talking full Pavlonian response, y’all. Those words alone are enough to get me squirming in my chair… but at FIFTY. SIX. DOLLARS. OFF!?!? I’m leaping out of the chair and jumping on the desk. I just might have to go run a Happy Lap around the parking lot. 

Ok, I’m back… WOW! ROCCA FAMILY in the hizzzhouse!!! The Grisby vineyard is one of two Rocca’s estate vineyards here in Napa. This organic plot is in the southeastern corner of the Yountville AVA, just over the border from Stags Leap. The glorious, some say BEST EVER 2016 vintage is on full display here… just oozing with inky, dark blackberry and boysenberry fruits, dark chocolate, vanilla bean, black cherries, and myriad baking spice. This is mouth coating, saliva-inducing, lush and plush cabernet, one that Jeb Dunnuck aptly describes as “pleasure-bent and balanced.” Agreed, Jeb, agreed. 

We almost never get access to these wines, they’re just so rare! Most of the production goes straight to their hardcore fan base, through direct allocations and wine club. We couldn’t believe our luck when we tasted this beauty…at this price, we didn’t think we could get enough. Truth be told, we probably didn’t get enough, NEARLY 60% OFF Napa cabernet doesn’t stick around long in these parts. So saddle up, make haste, and grab yours before it’s gone. THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS!!!
