Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Napa Valley 2013 - Last Bottle

Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve Napa Valley 2013

Aaaaaaaand….BOOM!! We DID it! Bit late getting this out today, putting together the last bits of this over-the-top, over-the-moon, EPIC deal...but WOW is it worth it!! COLLECTORS! Lovers! Passionistas of hyper-luxury-level Cabernet goodness...97 POINTS...this kind of reality-warping Cabernet mega-dealing does NOT occur often. We sit here, breathless.

OK. Breathe. BERINGER. 2013, guys, not 2018 or new releases, this is right out of the Beringer LIBRARY (and really, how often does someone capitalize “library” with such emotion?!! C’mon! We are bouncing off the walls here this morning!)! We don’t need to regale you again about Beringer’s wonderfully rich history (it is 144 years old!), its unending boatloads of huge scores for its Cabernets over the years (century??) or how awesome the last one you bought from us was, right?

2013. THE Robert Parker gave it 97, it is pristine, gaining even more complexity and frankly, it just blew us away, the whole deal, late yesterday as we marvelled at our good fortune (and yours, of course, my goodness). Anyway --- excellent, powerful Napa vintage, soaring with blackcurrant extract, mocha, chai spice, and deep plums and blueberry...crazy long and wrap-up-in-a-blanket warm and toasty...dude, for real. Parker called it “an instant classic” and of course the man is right. A TREASURE for the serious Cabernet person, at a price that boggles the senses. I got a few just for my geeky wine friends, plus more than a few for me! HURRY! There’s barely enough to send out an offer...what can we say but..um...Merry Xmas, maybe? Oh, hey, gotta go, CNN is calling to interview us on how we did it. Bye!

Enticing aromas of ripe blackberry, boysenberry, brown spice and sweet mint are purely profound. Supple tannins are beautifully integrated and balanced with a silky, elegant finish. This will continue to evolve for another few decades but is oh so lovely now.

About The Producer

Beringer is known for establishing many 'firsts' as leaders in the wine industry. We were one of the first gravity fed facilities and among the first to operate using hand-dug caves and cellars. We were the first to give public tours in 1934, starting a Napa Valley hospitality tradition. We are the first and only winery to have both a red and a white wine named #1 Wine of the Year by Wine Spectator Magazine.

Your daily purveyor of fine wines.

We’re wine drinkers, collectors, and part of the global wine trade. Mostly, we are totally stoked to bring you incredible juice at the best prices we can possibly obtain, every day.
