Nothing against corned beef and a belly full of Redbreast (sláinte!), but 2019 Chianti Superiore is something every red-drinking person on Earth should be LOADING (like backing up truck on UP) on in general (the quality is WICKED, best in years!!), but TODAY? Our price we scored on this 92-POINT beauty is completely off-the-chain, this wine needs to be consumed with heart-bursting joy and rays of Tuscan sunshine beaming through your soul…NOW. NOW! We have just a half a truckful (sounds like a lot but it ain’t…).

We LOVE this label. If we ever move to Tuscany and retire, we’re totally stealing this. Also — you CANNOT find this in the USA. ONLY HERE, y’all. Over the years, we’ve made a gazillion visits to Tuscany and Piedmont (more on the way, too) and have made some friends…friends who let you in on that next amazing connection. BOOM! Fattoria La Vialla Casa Conforto is IT! Traditional style, old school, full of finesse, complexity, warmth and high-level drink-factor. THIS PRICE!! Hard to imagine. Did we mention 92 points? The winery is an oasis some 15 minutes from the magical village of Arezzo and the wonderful attention put into this wine (sangiovese mostly, with a bit of the local canaiolo) is mind-expanding with black tea, blood orange, ultra-fresh and mouth-watering, black plums, iron, zesty roses and earthiness hinting (as James notes) at black truffles. SERIOUS stuff!! Light on its feet, too, fresh and pumping it out. WOW!! What to say??! LOAD UP while we got it!
