Beau Vigne Zinfandel Haypress Dry Creek Valley 2021
JULIEN FAYARD up in da CRIB!
Nearly 70-year-old vine, UBER-GNARLY zinfandel, from a tiny parcel in the warm, rocky, alluvial Shangri-la for Cali zin – Sonoma’s pristine Dry Creek Valley! NEARLY 70% OFF!
That’s a solid $37 LESS than anywhere else, good people! This price is simply breathtaking, seemingly defying general market logic. BEAU VIGNE (yup, we know you’ve heard the story before, but c’mon, it’s winemaker Julien Fayard!!) continues to crush it – and time and time again we’re left wondering when our luck will end. NOT TODAY! A bold and brand-spanking new release of a zinfandel sure to inspire tremendous delight and wondrous awe, and maybe just a weeeeee bit of heady, over-indulgent stupor (the good kind, we promise).
Inky and energetic zinfandel...there’s really nothing quite like it! A dash of petite sirah for structure (zin LOVES petit!), and this is simply rocking. The juice explodes out of the glass with blueberry jam, a medley of peppercorns, Tahitian vanilla, pomegranate...WOWEE! One sip in and your fingers start to tingle – as waves of crushed boysenberry, cranberry, raspberry, more peppercorns, plus white sage, mocha, and a nosh of sarsaparilla all come crashing down over your tongue! Lordy, this is good! We are just wicked lucky to have some. For YOU. Because we love you and this totally, literally is ALL we do.
If you plan on going to BBQ, eating a burger, hosting a South African braai, or ordering a pizza anytime in the next six months – you NEED this wine! At our PRICE? Remarkable. While it lasts, friends!
60% of the fruit underwent partial whole-cluster fermentation. Small amounts of Petite Sirah add depth and structure to the blend, without interfering with our primary goal of preserving the wild, brambly sophistication of Zinfandel. The result is a fresh yet signature style of Zinfandel. There is ripeness while incorporating texture, acidity, and savory notes. Wild boysenberry, pomegranate, and cranberry keep it juicy with a layer of cracked black pepper in the finish.
