94 POINT Pinot Noir, from Santa Maria’s famed Riverbench Vineyard for less than 20 bucks!!! That’s nearly 75% off…so now is the time to FLY, my friends!

Timbre is back, good people and like a tree falling in the forest, you’d best clear the way!!! Y’all went stark-raving BANANAS for the 2021, and this ludicrously low-priced 2023?! Even better. Musicians in the crowd know what “Timbre” means. But for the rest of you you’re just going to have to google it on your own time, because the clock is ticking and UNDER $20 on simply entrancing 94 POINT Pinot Noir means this single vineyard baddie is not long for the solar system…and you certainly don’t want to be the one that misses out!

We’re talking 50+ year old vines just a short stroll down valley from Bien Nacido — and every bit as deserving for a spot in your Cali-Pinot dreams! This ancient seafloor sports a mix of Pommard and Martini clones of Pinot Noir, and that creepily-close and constant heavy breathing from the Pacific makes for one of the best spots in Cali to grow cool, ethereal, elegant styles of Pinot Noir. Some people call Santa Maria Pinot Noir funky fresh — but I say this has Rhythm, baby! The sour cherries, and red mulberries, with that freshly-rolled cigar wrapper intensity, and these little POPS of iron, and minty Provençal herbs…YES!!! There’s this woodsy hike sensation, with a copious and bountiful medley of spice-y, leafy notes and a long, penetrating finish. The brightness is enough to blind your average marsupial — and the elegance alone is worthy of a red-carpet photo shoot. At THIS price?!

We’re firmly fixed into no-brainer territory, folks. Nearly 75% OFF??? Now that’s a Rhythm that even my busted-up old knees can dance to.

While it lasts!!!

**Ok, ok…if you simply MUST know – Timbre means “the characteristic quality of a sound, independent of pitch and loudness, from which its source or manner of production can be inferred.” Winemaker Josh Klapper had his epiphany moment with a 1945 Chateau Latour back in 2005 and never looked back. He became a sommelier before moving into winemaking under the steady hand of the legendary Bob Lindquist of QUPE — and Timbre followed a few years later.**

"The 2023 Pinot Noir The Rhythm, from Riverbench in the Santa Maria Valley, turns out classic Santa Maria savory undertones of crushed rocks, tobacco and iron, all juxtaposed against sweet, ripe cherry fruit in a midweight frame. It's an excellent combination. Rounded and soft around the edges, the 2023 wraps up with a long, leather-tinged finish. It's a very complete wine." -Vinous
