Yup, you’re seeing THAT right – we ran into Russell at bocce last night (it’s a big deal in Napa Valley) and a few phone calls, martinis, and handshakes later...WHAM another Russell Bevan uber-blockbuster just landed to rock your world! 60% OFF!! Will sell out mighty quickly!

Pile ON the rocks!! ROCKPILE VINEYARD! Wow!! If you know, you know – this rugged, rocky, remote vineyard within its own appellation overlooking Lake Sonoma at 800-2100 feet elevation is HIGHLY coveted by winemakers for its brawny, broad-shouldered, ageworthy structure, tiny berries (hello, can you say concentration…), and overall mighty vigor. By now, you all know how next-level Bevan’s wines are…the 100’s and 95-99’s from the press are nearly incalculable over the years. In a jaw-droppingly killer vintage like 2023, it’s imperative you do everything you can. Did we say WOW?

**If you’re just grokking the Bevan world of masterpieces – outside his eponymous label, Adversity is Russell and his wife’s homage to single-vineyard sites (outside of what they personally own) to showcase world-class vineyards with wine made in the distinctly hedonistic style he is known for. BR-A-VO!

“With Russell Bevan in the cellar, the wine is downright delicious: full-bodied, polished, and well-endowed with robust tannins that build throughout the wine all the way to a full-bodied, soaring tannic finish”.

Taste it yourself (at 60% OFF the rest of this planet!!) – as the 98-point review mentions: SOARING! Not only the rich tannic finish, the NOSE! OOOFDA! 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Brambly blue berries, crushed roasted coffee beans, chocolate-covered figs, nutmeg, this is beguiling, ok-I-gotta-pay-attention, strap in and hold on style that really complements both Russell’s winemaking style (pedal-to-the-metal) and the incredible, uniquely deep complex fruit. Brooding and dark, it’s massive but doesn’t weigh too heavy…a rich midpalate of aforementioned dark blue berries and well-toasted high-quality French oak that flows easily into a gripping, rich, polished finish…an outrageous buy by any standard, good people. I mean, what can we say? PILE. ON!!! While it lasts, that is!!

98 POINTS
"From the Rockpile AVA, a tiny, rugged Sonoma appellation overlooking Lake Sonoma, with roughly 160 acres planted at elevations of 800–2,100 feet. Its rocky, well-drained soils, exposure above the fog, and cool maritime influence produce especially concentrated, structured wines. With Russell Bevan in the cellar, the wine is downright delicious: full-bodied, polished, and well-endowed with robust tannins that build throughout the wine all the way to a full-bodied, soaring tannic finish. In between, there are notes of blue-black fruit co-mingling with dark, loamy earth, all wrapped in noble oak spices, clearly very expensive French wood, and finishing with rich dark chocolate and crushed cocoa nib notes. Simply put: Delicious. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 30 months in 100% new French oak. (To be published in September 2026)" -Decanter
