When one of this country’s Founding Fathers declares this estate one of his TOP 4 favorites for world-class wine — you’d better listen, folks!

This is some epic stuff! 95 POINTS! ONLY $40! Those are the kind of numbers I LOVE to see — especially when I can throw out critical praise like this!

“Le Hameau is superb…The 2022 is so alive and dynamic…There's tremendous density and richness here.”

I mean…right?! RIGHT?! That’s from the normally reticent Antonio Galloni of Vinous, no less — and I’m here to say…as good as “Le Plateau” is and always will be — I wouldn’t want to miss out on this baby either! All fruit from Cantenac, just a few hundred yards south of Château Margaux, showcasing a lifted, intensely harmonious beauty of richness, and dark-fruited density, with the sort of opulent mouthfeel that makes you perpetually crave just…one…more…sip!!! And then, POOF the bottle has vanished, and you’re shaking the bottle upside down for one final drop, one final taste of heaven. THAT, my friends, is what’s at stake here. So…what are you waiting for????

WHEN do you ever see wines from a Grand Cru, Second Growth, Margaux producer at a price anywhere near this deal? A flat $40 for a wine such as this?! Jaw-dropped, phaser set to STUNNED! The historic Chateau Durfort-Vivens stayed in the same family, passing down from one generation to the next over SEVEN CENTURIES!! Eventually, in 1961, they were snatched up by their neighbors at Château Margaux, run by the heralded Lurton family that would eventually keep this to be the flagship estate of their modern-day portfolio. Centuries prior, America’s first wine expert, and cherished Bordeaux connoisseur, Thomas Jefferson (third president of the U.S., too, but never mind that…) ranked this stunning GRAND CRU estate just after famed 1st Growths of Lafite, Latour, and the aforementioned Margaux! None too shabby, methinks!

Did I mention we’re the ONLY folks in the country to have it?!?!

"The 2022 Le Hameau emerges from parcels in Cantenac. Dark and pliant, with superb depth, Le Hameau is superb. Inky dark fruit, lavender, licorice, mocha and savory herbs soar from the glass. The 2022 is so alive and dynamic. I admire its inner perfume and layered, beguiling character. There's tremendous density and richness here. The 2022 was raised for 16 months in a combination of 85% amphora and 15% new oak." ~Vinous

"Refined and fresh with currants, paprika, cocoa powder and fine spices. Medium- to full-bodied, this has dusty tannins that slowly unfurl before a long, tight and powdery finish. Drink from 2027." ~James Suckling
