DON’T OVERTHINK THE CHARDONNAY. $22. SANGIACOMO. GO!

I’m talking Sonoma Coast Chardonnay that normally commands a WHOPPING $65, made with fruit from one of the most coveted vineyards farmed by the LEGENDARY Sangiacomo family.

Bright! Creamy! Swaggy!

For $22?! Someone check the math.

The Sangiacomos have farmed Sonoma since 1927, and three generations later, their vineyard names carry serious weight. They know every nook, slope, soil, fog bank, and breezy little pocket, and give each the gravitas it deserves, including Roberts Road, 130-acres at the base of Sonoma Mountain that they first planted back in 1999.

Tucked into the Petaluma Gap AVA, this coveted coastal vineyard gets clobbered with fog and moody breezes, letting Chardonnay ripen gloriously low and slow. Add well-drained silty gravel soils and you get beautifully developed fruit with the richness, delicacy, and supple texture that makes this prime Chardonnay country.

Now, naturally, fruit like this has plenty of eager suitors… but lucky for you, winemakers Collin Cranor and Craig Ploof have a knack for closing the deal. These two sniff out Cali prestige like Truffle Dogs…they get Beckstoffer. Bien Nacido. Sangiacomo. Vineyard names that make wine nerds sit upright and start polishing the GOOD glasses…but landing legendary fruit is only half the trick. Their talent here wasn’t just sourcing spectacular Sangiacomo fruit – it was knowing when to get out of its way, and let this famous vineyard show you exactly why its name holds such BIG Chardonnay weight.

Boy howdy, did they overdeliver. This is a parade of iconic Gravenstein apples, luscious lemon curd, a bride’s spring bouquet chucked over her shoulder. Creamy swagger meets Petaluma Gap coolness.. everything stays bright, lively, and JUICY as a 90s velour tracksuit.

There’s only one pallet on the floor and it’s $22 SANGIACOMO CHARD. That’s 66% OFF, need I remind you?! The warehouse team is already waving goodbye. Your shot at this Sonoma gold is about to go buh-bye.

You hear me? Buh-BYE! Go BUY.

"Ripe Anjou pears, yellow mangoes and toasty vanilla on the nose. Creamy lemon curd and toasted tiramisu flavors make for a rich and decadent, full-bodied palate. The broad, lingering mouthfeel is hot but satisfying. Drink or hold." -James Suckling

"Pencil shavings accent pear and pineapple fruit in the barrel-fermented 2023 Chardonnay Sangiacomo Roberts Road, a blend of Clone 95 and a Robert Young selection from a well-regarded Sonoma grower. It's medium- to full-bodied, plump and rounded, with a plush, slightly custardy texture and a lingering finish." -Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
