Marathon FAQs
The Marathon is two days of pell-mell, uber-speedy wine-blowout madness; we’re talking back-to-back deals on over 1000 different wines. When we have too few bottles for a daily offer, we put it in the Marathon stockpile. Some of these bottles are MEGA rare, collector-type vino. Then, over the course of two insane days, we blow through it at breakneck speed... down to the LAST last bottle. We flip the offer at the moment the last one sells out (sometimes in seconds).
Nope, but you do need a Last Bottle account to participate. Don't worry, membership is free and only entails receiving daily email offers of great wines!
You should sign up or log in to your account now and make sure your default shipping and billing info is set. During the Marathon, we do not send a daily offer email for each wine (that would be nuts!)— head straight to the website to watch for wines you'd like to buy!

During the SPRING Marathon, keep an eye peeled for the Golden Egg— If you spot it and are the FIRST to email us a photo of the egg to marathon@lastbottlewines.com you will get a $20 account credit that you can immediately apply to more Marathon wine! Don't worry... our lil' friend will be appearing more than once!
The Marathon is a 48-hour event starting at 9am sharp (Napa time) on Thursday, March 26th. We host a marathon three times per year: Spring (March/April), Harvest (August), and Holiday (December). Sign up for our mailing list to get notified!
One word: Free-shipping-on-all-orders-of-any-size-or-shape.
Okay, a bit more: your Marathon orders will be consolidated and shipped out from our Napa warehouse. We ship one state at a time (fun fact: we randomize the state-by-state dispatch order each time we have a Marathon!) Shipping so many orders can take up to six weeks. We've also prepared this handy Marathon Shipping Video. If you need your wine shipped on a specific date, please email us at help@lastbottlewines.com-- we will do our best to get it to you!
WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT!!! (just kidding) We know Marathon shipping always takes longer than anyone would like, and we appreciate your patience as we consolidate and dispatch hundreds-of-thousands of orders. We promise we are cranking away like crazy, but plan on a lot of extra time (up to 6 weeks). We can provide an up-to-date estimate if you ping us at help@lastbottlewines.com.
For the Harvest (summer) Marathon, you are given the option to ship ASAP or have your shipment held at our warehouse. Generally we recommend against shipping your wines in hot summer temperatures. Harvest Marathon wines will default to ship during our Fall Shipping Push, which takes place September through December. Packages will be dispatched on a state-by-state basis based on weather conditions, under our careful supervision.
YOU BET THEY DO!!! That is how you end up with TONS of wine you don't pay for. During the last Marathon we had someone send out their referral code to a huge list of people and scored $600+ in credits!! Sweet, RIGHT???
Last Bottle Invite Policy: You may invite family and friends to our site as a way to promote the site and earn referral credits. SWEET!!! Please be aware of the following rules around referrals:
Account credits are applied automatically, but will be revoked anytime we suspect malicious activity. Orders will be canceled and accounts banned if we see anyone abusing the invite system.
- It is against the spirit of our program to promote the referral credit as a "one-time freebie," and any accounts found exploiting credits in this way will be subject to a ban.
- You may not open multiple accounts to acquire referral credits. If our system detects that an account has utilized the same credit card or shipping address for a referral order, both accounts will immediately be suspended pending review.
If we find a customer has done any of this, their account will be subject to a suspension and all associated orders will be canceled. We have the last judgment if we feel the system is being abused.

Wines go FAST! Sometimes minutes, sometimes seconds. Your cart will not protect your selections, so be sure to finish the purchase process on each wine! Double-triple check your shipping address before the Marathon heats up. All wines are first-come-first-served. As a note, there is no ‘last bottle’ credit during the Marathon.
Other than marking yourself as "do not disturb" on the company calendar, true Marathon pros have been known to update your browser, surround yourself with snacks and adult beverages, crank your favorite Spotify playlist (we've compiled a few for you here). As always: double-triple check your shipping address before the Marathon heats up.
